Head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, confirmed the delay in the opening of the 'Utopia' community center in Azcapotzalco. Initially planned for this weekend, the inauguration is now rescheduled for the end of the month due to construction delays, despite recent acceleration of works. Undeterred, Brugada continues her ambitious plan, announcing that a second 'Utopia' in Azcapotzalco will be built on the grounds of the Deportivo Xochinahuac, offered by Mayor Nancy Núñez. The first 'Utopia' in Azcapotzalco will feature sports facilities, including a semi-Olympic pool, weightlifting area, boxing ring, and yoga. It will also house a library, a digital classroom, a 400-person auditorium, dance classes, a playroom, and support for people suffering from addictions. These projects are a key campaign promise and a personal initiative for Brugada. On a related note, she defended the 'Utopias' project on an international stage by inaugurating the Executive Bureau of Cities in the presence of 140 local and federal governments from around the world.
